Enterprise Web Hosting Web Hosting Services is a branch of NTS responsible primarily for very large scale computing solutions for the entire Johns Hopkins Institution. Areas of responsibility include Web server management, content design for Inter- and Intranet front door servers, DNS requests, and Web Content Management System. - Enterprise Class Webhosting - These are large scale websites with decentralized management. Including sites such as http://www.jhu.edu and http://insidehopkinsmedicine.org, several million pages per month are served off of these enterprise servers. Space is allocated on a per request basis and attempts are made to accommodate special needs.
- Dedicated Webhosting - The applications supported on Enterprise Webhosting servers are limited in an effort to properly maintain security, stability and supportability. Those departments or organizations whose needs cannot be met on the Enterprise Webhosting servers have the option of paying a per server/per month fee for dedicated webhosting services. Please inquire with Alan Shackelford for further details.
- Content Management System - This is a large scale distributed content management system that enables non-technical users to maintain web content. We have implemented a producted called SiteExecutive that greatly simplifies content management tasks. For further information please contact Brian Schisler.
