WelchWeb Computer & Communication Classes The Welch Medical Library sponsors a training program in collaboration with the Office of Continuing Medical Education and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Courses are offered on the East Baltimore campus and are hands-on, except where noted.
Registration is limited so please register early.
The biomedical communication and information management courses are offered free of charge. All other courses are offered for fee and qualify for tuition remission.
The courses offered by the Welch Medical Library are designed to support the educational, clinical, research and administrative missions of the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. Students will gain knowledge and expertise in using the Library, searching online databases, writing a grant or journal abstract, and information management. Courses examine the tools and techniques needed to locate, organize, analyze and present biomedical information in both the print and electronic environments. Other topics include computer applications and systems training, the Internet, and presention skills.
