The number of Wireless Data Devices at Johns Hopkins in use by faculty, students and staff has grown at an exponential rate over the past couple years. Referred to as a WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) the number of access points deployed around the Johns Hopkins campuses have also grown to connect mobile devices to the Internet.
