JShare Personal Web Space
One of the advanced features of JShare is the ability to host a static HTML web site. Should you require more complex web space, please contact webhosting@jhu.edu.
The URL for your personal website will be:
https://jshare.johnshopkins.edu/[JHED_ID]/[folder/filename]
Any files that are uploaded to your Public_HTML folder with the .html file extension will be accessible to the public and can be called up in any web browser. If you would like to limit access to your web site, you can define specific permissions at the folder level.
| Users with Accounts | Any user that has activated their JShare account will be able to view your web site |
| Public | Anyone with computer access will be able to view your website |
| Specific User/Group | Allows you to restrict access to a specific group of individuals. It will require those users to login with their JHED ID and password to gain access to your site |
