Keyboard Wedge

a hardware device installed between a computer's keyboard and point-of-sale (POS) terminal that translates digital signals from a barcode reader or magnetic strip reader  into keyboard strokes

Limited Combustible CableLimited combustible cable (LCC), also called CMP-50 cable, is fire-resistant cable with insulation made of a synthetic material called fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP). This insulation allows LCC to withstand higher temperatures for longer periods of time than ordinary cable. Another advantage of LCC is the fact that it lasts longer before the insulation begins to contaminate the cable, a process that is an inevitable part of cable aging and that can increase cable loss. In addition, LCC is more tolerant of prolonged high humidity or exposure to corrosive chemicals or pollutants.
Link Quality Source RoutingLink Quality Source Routing (LQSR) is a routing protocol for wireless mesh networks. The protocol was developed by Microsoft for use with their Mesh Connectivity Layer (MCL) technology, which facilitates the interconnection of computers into a mesh network using WiFi or WiMAX wireless service. The LQSR protocol is based on Dynamic Source Routing (DSR).
Linpack BenchmarkThe Linpack benchmark is a method of measuring the floating point rate of execution of a computer by running a program that solves a system of linear equations. Linpack was originally developed by Jack Dongarra to give computer users an idea of the time it would take a machine to solve complex problems in linear algebra. The results of the Linpack benchmark can be used to estimate the speed with which a computer is likely to run an individual program or multiple programs

(LAN) Local Area Network

group of computers and associated devices that share a common communications line and typically share the resources of a single processor or server within a small geographic area.

LogwatchLogwatch is a log analysis program that parses through system logs and generates periodic reports based on criteria specified by the user. These reports are generated immediately after Logwatch has run (normally every night) and can be sent by e-mail to a network administrator.

(LDAP) Lightweight Directory Access Protocol

Logical RouterA logical router is a configured partition of a traditional network hardware, or "physical," router. It replicates the hardware's functionality, creating multiple routing domains within a single router. Logical routers perform a subset of the tasks that can be handled by the physical router, and each can contain multiple routing instances and routing tables. Using logical routers can be an effective way to maximize router usage, because a set of logical routers within a single physical router can perform the operations previously performed by several pieces of equipment.
