Hopkins Policies Online Brief Description Hopkins Policies Online (HPO) is a web application, developed internally, that will allow centralized and controlled management of Johns Hopkins Policies and/or Procedures. The application consists of 2 interfaces: (1) an Administrative Tool and (2) an End User Interface. The Admin Tool will be used by credentialed users to define a workflow and track the creation, maintenance and publication of hospital policies. The End User Interface will be a centralized repository of policies across departments and allow end users the ability to search, view and/or print published policies and appendices in PDF format. The application will maintain a Manual / Section / Policy format. The security system is maintained via SiteMinder where authentication will be implemented allowing users to be assigned to various privileges. The system will enforce standard templates, defined workflows, and business rules to ensure that all Policy and Procedure Manuals are reviewed per regulatory and hospital policy. Also included within the Administrative Tool functionality is an Audit Trail, Version Management, Rules Based Publication, PDF Generation, Notification Engine, Retirement and Archive Capability and Reporting.
