Diagnosis and Procedure Coding System-HDM Brief Description The HDM system is a coding system used to record medical diagnosis and procedure codes for all inpatients and same day surgery/procedure outpatients. After a patient visit has been final coded the system will transmit data to one of two systems depending on patient type. If the patient is an inpatient the coding data will be transmitted to the Keane Billing System. If the patient is an outpatient the coding will be transmitted to the Charge Capture System. Latest Accomplishments - July 2009 - There was no maintenance activity required for the software application this month.
