Document Management (EDMS) Brief Description The Document Management System is an application of EDMS (Electronic Document Management System) that was created to capture, index/store, and retrieve all documentation. This system has been implemented and is in use in the following areas: Adult ED, Peds ED, Wilmer ED, Medical Services Administration, Patient Financial Services, Operations Integration, Facilities Design and Construction, HITS Finance, Medical HIV Research, Pharmacy, Adult Cardiology, Peds Cardiology, Pediatrics, Otolaryngology, Neurosciences, Orththopedics, Urology, Outpatient Surgery, JHOC First Floor Registrations. Latest Accomplishments - August 2009 New Development: - User meetings, specification development/approval, application build for JHBMC Finance and JHU HR Central Office/HR Homewood Division and training
- Created MCCM-Morrisey Concurrent Care Manager application in AX test and modified two applications for Ron Peterson's office
- Review of request to create an interface for the EADR system (go live Janaury 09) that is similar to the EDMS-EPR link. The interface not required for EADR to go live.
Amalga->EDMS Interface: - Testing AMALGA Test->EDMS WebX test: link EPR2 - works
- Testing AMALGA prod->EDMS WebX prod:link EPR1 and EPR2 do not work, error messages
- Kevin rewriting EPR link using Web Services which will allow us to move away from custom version of WebX. Rewrite of link about 90% complete. Remaining development includes document zooming and rotation capability.
Screen Scrapes for Keane EZ ADT: Development will be done using Boston Workstation. Training and development of the application working with Boston Software scheduled in October. Training and Roll-out: - Training in OTO, HR at Wyman Park, URO, Surgery, Pharmacy, Derm, Social Work and IP Admitting.
- Worked with Neuro group to develop new training materials
Applications Maintenance: - Investigated MMF missing documents problem which required a fix from the vendor for a date extraction logic error.
- Faxpress and AX configuration installtion for two different areas
- Correction of PFS remittance processing errors that are due to changes in file formats and other problems impacting multiple payers.
- EDMS field support -ongoing. AX/WebX maintenance and oncall.
FaxPress: - Ongoing Support
- EMC notified that AX does not support BISCOM fax server. It is not inegrated with Application Xtender.
- AX integration with FaxPress was discussed with Steve Lannon, and demonstrated.
Technical Issues: - Slow response for document retrieval and scanning (SAP AP and Travel Unit groups). EDMS team assisted troubleshooting which is not related to AX. SAP and Networking group focusing on subnet bottleneck.
