What to do if you are out of the office on the migration date:

Out of Office/Vacation Rules

Set and out of office rule using the Internet Explorer-based Outlook WebAccess interface.  Instructions on how to do this can be found here.  This can be done 1-week before your published migration date.

Access to your calendar

If someone needs access to your calendar on the migration day and you are unable to do this via the Outlook client on the migration date, please call the help desk prior to your departure and open an incident with the help desk.  Use the following statement to report your issue "I am migrating from GroupWise to Outlook/Exchange on <your planned migration date> and I am planning to be out of the office.  I need to request access to my calendar for the following people:  (list of JHED IDs for individuals and type of calendar access required Read-Only, Read-and-Write)". 

Managed Blackberry Devices

You will receive instructions on how to re-activate your "managed" Blackberry on the morning of the migration.  If you are unable to complete the steps within a 24-hour period, the activation password (specific to the activation process) will expire and a new activation password will need to be issued.  More information on mobile device support can be found at the following location:  http://it.jhu.edu/exchange/mobility
