Since the vast majority of the anti-SPAM/anti-virus work is handled outside of the Exchange/Outlook email systems, the usefulness of junk mail handling vs. the possible risks of sending legit messages to the Junk E-mail folder justifies disabling it. For those who would like to disable junk mail handling and NOT take the risk of legit messages being sent to the Junk E-mail folder: - Go to Actions -> Junk E-mail -> Junk E-mail Options...
- Under the Options tab (which is the default tab displayed), you will see a list of options under "Choose the level of junk e-mail protection you want:"
- Change the level of e-mail protection from "Low: Move the most obvious junk e-mail to the Junk E-Mail folder." to "No Automatic Filtering: Mail from blocked senders is still moved to the Junk E-Mail folder."

For those who would like to maintain junk mail handling and take the risk of legit messages being sent to the Junk E-mail folder: - Go to Actions -> Junk E-Mail -> Junk E-mail Options...
- Go to the Safe Senders tab and click Add...
- Add the domain @jhu.edu.
- Repeat and add the domain @jhmi.edu.
