Mainframe Technical Support

The current Mainframe Environment consists of the IBM 9672-RD6 mainframe, the z/OS operating system, DB2, CICS, Web Sphere, many third-party products and tools for operations, programming support, and technical support.  The Mainframe Technical Group provides support (which also involves implementation and management) for Database Services, a distributed on-line transaction processing system, various data storage platforms and a disaster recovery infrastructure. A few of the larger applications utilizing this platform are the Electronic Patient Record System, many of the financial systems including CUFS, the Executive Management system, and human resource systems for both hospital and university systems.
