This section contains device specific manufacturer resolutions and links for the DST (Daylight Savings Time)software patch. Each device may have a different resolution so please be sure to choose the correct software for your type device. Please note that applying the fix for any device will not delete the data on the device. TREO Palm Treo 600 series: Work-Around 1. Tap the Prefs icon. 2. Tap Date & Time from the General column. 3. Uncheck “Get date & time from mobile network” if it is checked 4. If applicable, uncheck “Get time zone from mobile network” 5. In Drop Down box, go to end where you can click on "Edit list", scroll to your City that your mobile Network picked. 6: Start: Week Second, Month March, Day Sunday Click OK 7. End: Week First, Month November, Day Sunday Click OK 8. Click Done 9. If applicable, re-check “Get time zone from mobile network: 10. If applicable, re-check “Get date & time from mobile network” Treo 700 series: CLICK HERE and follow instructions for PocketPC Windows Mobile Device RIM (Blackberry) BlackBerry Pearl, 8800 series: Not affected by this problem, DST functions properly. BlackBerry 7100 series & 7290: RIM will make scripts available which will be "pushed" to all Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) supported devices. BlackBerry 8700c: Devices with Blackberry v4.1.0.377 (bundle v4.1.0.529) are not affected, DST functions properly. For all other versions of 8700c RIM will make scripts available which will be "pushed" to all Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) supported devices. BlackBerry 6200 series, 6710 (16MB), 7200 series, 7700 series: For devices with Blackberry v4.0.0.185 or later, RIM will make scripts available which will be "pushed" to all Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) supported devices. BlackBerry 5810, 6710 (8MB): RIM will not issue a patch for these devices. Users must upgrade to a newer device. Microsoft Mobile O/S Devices : Please refer to Microsoft for more details. Download the Daylight Saving Time 2007 Update for Windows Mobile. This file will install the update directly on the device. You will need to know if you have a Windows Mobile Pocket PC or a SmartPhone. (Don’t know? Here's how to tell.) - On your device, navigate to the file you downloaded, and then click on it to install the update.
- If you are unable to access the link below on your device, open Windows Internet Explorer on your PC and download the link below to your PC. Attach it to an e-mail and send it to an account you can access on your device. On your device, open the e-mail and save the attached file; on some devices, you may need to synchronize your e-mail a second time to download the attached file. Then navigate to the file on your device and click on it to install the update.

IMPORTANT: To properly update the Daylight Saving Time settings, you need to manually change the time zone at least once on your device. To manually change the time zone on a Pocket PC: 0. Go to Start > Settings > Clock & Alarms > Time tab. 1. Change the current time zone to any time zone other than the one that is currently selected. 2. Tap OK and tap Yes to save changes to the clock settings. 3. Change the current time zone to the one you want to use. 4. Tap OK and tap Yes to save changes to the clock settings. To manually change the time zone on a Smartphone: 5. Go to Start > Settings > Clock & Alarms > Date and Time tab. 6. Change the current time zone to any time zone other than the one that is currently selected. 7. Click Done. 8. Change the current time zone to the one you want to use. 9. Click Done. Blackjack: The Blackjack is not affected by this problem. It ships with Windows Mobile 5.0 AKU 3.0 which contains the fix for DST. Symbian Nokia E62: The E62 is not affected by this problem.
