Netscape 7.2 / Mozilla 1.7.6

1. Open Netscape browser, click on the Mail icon from the toolbar.
2. Go to to the Edit menu and choose Mail & Newsgroup Account Settings.
3. Click on Server Settings, check the "Use secure connection (SSL)" in the middle of the screen, you will see the port number change from 110 to 995. NOTE: Do not check the box for "Secure Authentication". If you would like to leave messages on the server, check the box "Leave messages on server". Now click on Outgoing server (SMTP) from the left side of the screen.
4. Type "smtp.johnshopkins.edu" in the server name field. PLEASE NOTE: If you are off campus and want to use our SMTP servers, or you need to authenticate to send email, please choose TLS under "Use secure connection:" You may also enter your JHED Login if you wish.
5. Click OK to finish.
