| Mac OS X Mail 2.x
- Start Mac Mail.
- Choose the Mail menu and select Preferences.
- Click on the Accounts options at the top
- Highlight the account on the left side and click on the Account Information tab at the top
- Enter the following information- Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): smtp.johnshopkins.edu
- Recommended: Click on the Server Settings button and enter the following information to configure the outgoing SMTP server:
- Server name should already be populated
- The port should remain the default 25
- Check the box for Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)
- Authentication: Password
- User Name: Enter your JHED login ID.
- Password: Enter your JHED password.
- Click on OK
- Close the Preferences window and now you should be able to send email.
