Blackberry-GroupWise Known Issues

Address Book Lookup - This feature is currently disabled. We are awaiting a Service Pack update that will hopefully allow us to enable this feature.

Attachments - Some Blackberry users are reporting problems with opening attachments.  We are currently waiting on a software update from the vendor to correct these issues.  We should receive the software update and apply it during the week of June 6th.  In the interim, users may notice delays in opening attachments, or the attachment might not open at all.  Corrected with software upgrade applied 6/11/05.

Recurring Appointments - We recommend that you do not create recurring appointments from the Blackberry device.  If you have a situation where recurring appointments need to be created, please create them in the GroupWise client.  We have reports from users that calendar entries for recurring appointments that existed before Blackberry activation are not always appearing correctly on the Blackberry.  We have been unable to reproduce this problem since applying 6/11/05 software update.

Address Book Synchronization - On a few instances, we've had to disable address book synch for people that have large numbers of contacts in the address book.  We recommend synching less than 500 contacts.

Email Synchronization Delays - Users may notice periods of time when message delivery to the Blackberry is delayed.  In most cases, the delays are less than 15 minutes.  We have noticed the delays can be longer during early morning hours on the weekends when GroupWise database maintenance jobs take place.  This has been improved with 6/11/05 software update but can still be expected.
