The Mobile Computing Program (MCP) aims to improve technical support for faculty and staff by promoting the personal purchase of notebook computers from the same vendor and model pool as purchased institutionally.  As the number of such systems grows, IT support staff become more familiar with them and can provide better support.  Other MCP features are:

• Special pricing not likely to be matched elsewhere for similar configurations.
• High-quality, durable models provide computing power for years after purchase.
• Most models offer three year warranty and three year insurance coverage against accidental damage (such as screen breakage), often not covered under a standard computer warranty.
