The Governance of information technology at Johns Hopkins University is as follows:
Council of Deans Addresses I.T. investments, partnerships, and outsourcing opportunities, evaluating recommendations from two Advisory Committees. Network and Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NETCOM) Addresses strategic planning and goal setting for network and telecommunications activities across the University. A separate Network and Telecommunications Advisory Board currently exists for the Medical Institutions. JHMCIS Advisory Board and Subcommittees The role of this Advisory Board is to establish priorities, recommend funding allocations, and communicate to members of Johns Hopkins Medicine as to the direction of the Information services for the Institutions. The members of this Board include representatives from the School of Medicine, the Johns Hopkins Hospital, the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, and the Johns Hopkins Medical Services Corporation, the Johns Hopkins Home Care Group, and Johns Hopkins Health Care.
